November Class - Gift Card Holders!

The final class of 2014 - Gift Card Holders for the holidays!  I had fun creating the gift card holders for this class after a lot of searching for inspiration and ideas.  I know you will love the projects!  This class is scheduled for this coming weekend, Saturday, November 22 and Sunday, November 23.   The cost is $25.00 for the class kit which will include everything you need to complete the projects.  Please remember to bring your tool kit which should include your choice of adhesive, scissors and anything else you need to craft with (including your reading glasses!)
Demonstrators pay $12.00 for their kit and kits in the mail $35.00.  Please RSVP as soon as possible to reserve your kit.  I will be making only 15 kits and kits will be reserved on a first come, first served basis.  I already have a few people that signed up at the last class so don't wait!  Here's a sneak peek of the projects!
Life is so busy for everyone and it's been a crazy year for me trying to juggle work and home life with 4 kids, 2 dogs and 3 cats, yikes!  Did you all know that I have 4 kids living at my house?  In addition to Nolan, we have his girlfriend Tanner living with us as well as one of Nolan's best friend, Philip.  His brother Eric moved in a short time after Philip and they've been living with us for about a year and a half now.  Not your normal family life for these kids, with no where else to go, my husband and I felt that we needed to help these young adults get on their feet and to make sure they know that they are loved and to guide them to make right choices in life.  Needless to say, this has been one my biggest challenge juggling the lives of 4 young adults.  There are some days that I am totally exhausted and sometimes want to give up.  I just thought I'd explain my life situation so you can understand why even more so these days, that it takes me forever to come up with projects and get them posted.  I'm a procrastinator to begin with, but life in my house just adds to this madness!
With that being said, I hope you will join me for this last class of the year.  In early December, I will be having my holiday party for those who have attended my class during the year.  This will be a potluck event and will include FREE projects as my gift to you!  I will be posting news about that event soon.  Thank you for taking a peek at my monthly blog post and I hope to see some of you this weekend!

The 50 Tag Class is back! Getting ready for the holidays!

By popular request, the 50 Tag Class is back! In this class, we will be making five (5) each of ten (10) designs.  Holy moly, right?!  Over the years of creating crazy tags with tiny intricate pieces, I've learned to simplify it especially when making 50 tags, right?!  This year, you won't be disappointed with the designs that I came up with.  I spent days combing through Pinterest to get inspired by all of the many wonderful designs and boy was I inspired!  Here is the sneak peek of what we will be making!
The class date, however, has been moved from the normal third week of the month (October 18) to Saturday, October 25 and Sunday, October 26 from 10:00 a.m. until we finish!!  You will need to bring your own tool kits making sure you have enough adhesive to make the 50 tags!  Your kit will include all materials to make the tags (cardstock, ribbons, accessories) including a pack of stampin' dimensionals and the use of the machines, dies, etc.  The cost for this class is $50.00, which comes out to only $1.00 per tag! Demonstrators pay  discounted price of $30.  I'm so sorry to announce that there will be no kits in the mail for this class as there are just too many pieces to cut and stamp and you probably won't get the kit until after Christmas (just kidding!) but seriously, it will take me a while to complete for you.
If you are interested in attending this class, please RSVP by email as soon as possible!  I will be taking reservations up to October 14 in order to prepare these kits.  The class will be limited to 10 people for each session in order to make room for all of the stations for each project.
Looking forward to seeing you for this fun class as we get ready for the holidays!  It will be here before we know it!

September Class Projects Sneak Peek!

Happy September!!  I thought that I was going to do a couple of Halloween projects, but when the Holiday catalog got released, I couldn't help myself to dive right into Christmas!  Here is the sneak peek for this month's class.
I'm so excited to share these projects with you!  We will be making two boxes using the all new gift box punch board.  It is soooo easy to use!  You will love making boxes for your little holiday gifts!  We will be making 2 cards (2 each of 2 designs) and 10 tags.  This class will be featuring all new products from the Holiday catalog.
The class is this Saturday, September 20 from 10:00 a.m. at my home.  Please RSVP via email to save your seat for this exciting class!  Class fee is $25 and will include all materials to make these projects - please bring your own tool kit (including adhesive, scissors and tools that you craft with).  Demonstrators pay $12.00 and kits in the mail is $35.00.
I hope you will join me for this my first all holiday projects class!
NOTE:  If you own a gift box punch board please bring it to class with you so you won't have to wait your turn to use mine.  Also, if you own blendabilities pens, you might want to consider bringing your own as you won't have to wait to color your images.  These are the colors that we will be using:
Cherry Cobbler - light and medium,  Ivory and Blush, Mocha and Bronze, Daffodil Delight - Dark.  We will also be using the regular Stampin' Write markers in the following colors:  Pear Pizzazz, Baked Brown Sugar and Rose Red.  This is not a requirement, but it might make your life easier if you don't have to wait to color your images.

August Class Projects!

For once, I'm on time to share the projects that we made from class.  I know I still didn't share projects from June and July, but I will!  I finally organized my photos so I can upload them on my blog.  I will get to those after I return from my trip.
This month's class featured a bunch of different techniques.  Here are the projects!  The first project was created because I was trying to use up these Altoid tins that my husband saves for me.  I knew that I would use them for something, one day.  Here is the decorated lid.  Used the new photopolymer stamp set called Christmas Bliss, love this set!!
Here is the inside view, ten (10) tags inside!
Here's a closer look at the tags.  I love the tag topper punch, makes life easy making all of those tags!
Love, love, love this slider card!  Inspired by Dawn's Stamping Thoughts.  You can see all of her awesome videos on her YouTube channel.
Here is the card when you pull on the ribbon, so cute!
A Christmas Angel!  This angel was made by Dawn O. using our bow Bigz die.  Here is the link to view how to make this easy angel
Another awesome card by Dawn Griffifth.  This card is called a Dutch Fold card, love it!!  You can view this video on Dawn's YouTube channel as well.
I asked for suggestions from the ladies who attend my classes and this was suggested.  It's a Cluster stamped card.  How cute did this turn out?!  Thanks Melita for the suggestion.  This idea was adapted from Papertrey Inc.  I used all SU stamps and inks for this card.
This card is called a Cascade card.  Very simple to make.  Many tutorials on YouTube and Pinterest too!
Thanks for stopping in to read my post today.  Thank you to the ladies who attended on Saturday.  It was a very small class, but we had so much fun!  Hoping to see you all in September.  We will be making a couple Halloween projects and get into Christmas!

Sneak Peek for August!

I can't believe how fast time is passing.  We are now in August!!  Here is my little sneak peek of the projects we will be creating this month.  I've been surfing YouTube a lot getting ideas from so many talented people out there.  Thank goodness for YouTube!!  This month, we will be making these fun projects that involve different techniques.  I had fun creating the cards and know you will too!  I hope you will join me.
This month, I will be having only one class on Saturday, August 16 at 10:00 am at my home.  If you cannot make the Saturday, please email me and I can do a Sunday class.  The reason for the Saturday only class is that I'm getting ready to leave for a trip to Las Vegas as the youngest of my hanai kids will be going to UNLV and I'll be going up there to help settle him in his dorm.  Thankful that my older sister, Cheryl and her hubby Rick will be going with me as I would probably get lost!  I'm actually looking forward to a mini vacation, but the priority is taking Eric to college and getting him settled in. (his name is Eric just like my hubby, so I've been referring to him as "brother", lol).   Anyway, back to the class!  Please RSVP via email as soon as you can so I can save a kit for you.  Please do not RSVP via this blog because as you can see, I'm not on it regularly like I used to.  The class kit is $25.00 and will include all materials and use of my supplies (stamps, inks, dies, machines).  You will need to bring your tool kit (adhesive, scissors, paper trimmer, scoring board, etc).  Demonstrators pay only $12.00 and kits in the mail $35.00 (this includes postage and your kit stamped, cut and ready to put together.  Note that the kits in the mail will take a little extra time so I can complete the stamping and cutting).
I can't wait to share these projects with you.  I am looking forward to seeing you at class!

I had alot of fun creating the samples for this month's class.  Thanks to my friend and partner, Wini, for lighting the fire under my butt to get going.  I think I was in one of those moments where I couldn't decide on the right project for the class.  I'm thanking Pinterest, YouTube and Blogs and all of the wonderful and creative people who inspired me for the projects.  I will try to find the links for the people that inspired me for the class projects.  Here is the sneak peek of what we will be making next weekend.

We will be making 5 fun cards.  These cards are more than just a simple ink on paper kind of cards.  We will be making a cool new and improved (simplified) waterfall card (I was inspired by Julie Davidson, thank you so much!).  We will also be making a card with a pretty floral band to close the card using the Flower Patch stamp set and Flower Fair framelit dies.  Another card we will be making will be a faux iris twist card, so pretty!  I am finalizing another project using the embossing folder and our chalk pen.  I hope it turns out!  It should be fun class learning how to make some cool cards.
I look forward to seeing you this weekend!!

April Class sneak peek! 20 All occasion cards!

AFTER READING THIS POST, PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO SEE THE REVEAL OF MY MARCH EASTER CLASS PROJECTS!  THANK YOU!
Can you believe that the samples for my April class is done?  No wonder it's been raining (giggling)...At my next class, we will be making 20 All Occasion cards - the occasions are: graduation, birthday, new baby (boy & girl), sympathy and thank you.  We will be making 4 cards of each design (except for the baby cards - 2 boy cards, 2 girl cards).  Each kit will contain 1 pack of 20 cards and envelopes and one Fresh Prints paper stack.  I'm still trying to figure out a project to put the cards in.  That will be the surprise!  I had fun creating these cards - I know you will enjoy making them and also love having cards ready made for use!
Classes will be held on Saturday, April 19 and Sunday, April 20.  I know that Sunday is Easter Sunday, but I hope that you can still make it.  Please RSVP BY EMAIL no later than April 2nd.  Because the kits will include the cards & envelope set and the paper stack, I will need to make sure that I order enough of each.  Cost for the class is $25 and in addition to those products mentioned above, it will include everything you need to complete the 20 cards and something to hold the cards too.  After you RSVP, please send in your payment (much appreciated!)  If you are interested in this class but cannot make it, I am offering "to go" kits for $35 which will include a completed sample of each card and the shipping cost of your kit.  Demonstrators pay only $12 for a kit (this will include the card & envelope set, the paper stack and all other supplies to complete the kit).  Please remember to bring your tool kits to the class!
I look forward to seeing all of you next month!

March Class Projects

I'm finally taking some time for ME today since it is a State of Hawaii holiday - Kuhio Day.  I'm spending it at home trying to catch up on some things that I really needed to do but have no time otherwise!  I'm also taking a day off tomorrow to continue to finish up on my to do list and getting more "ME time" in...getting my nails done, much needed!!  Okay, here are the class projects we did this month.  I ran out of my own ideas and had such a difficult time finalizing the projects.  My fix was to get inspired on Pinterest.  Here, I found some awesome ideas, including this cute, cute, cute triangle chick.  This idea came from the very talented Julie Davidson - please check out her blog and give her some love...you can check Julie out HERE  Thank you Julie for the inspiration.
 side view of the chick...
For this next project, I used the envelope punch board and I wanted to make something that could hold a regular size candy bar (a flat candy bar).  I viewed a lot of projects online for smaller candies, but I really wanted something larger so this is what I came up with.  The finished size not including the ears is 6 1/4".  Since this bunny was large, I used the gift bow bigz sizzix die that was featured in our holiday catalog (sorry, catalog expired already).  I thought this bunny turned out pretty cute.
I was inspired again on Pinterest to make a chick basket...here is my take on the basket.  I used our fancy favor die (and I didn't even realize that this die is now retired...(what?!?!)  One of my favorite dies!!!
Found this idea to make carrots on Pinterest as well...this idea came all the way from Australia by Tanya Bell.  You can search for this project called Carrot Eggs.  Super easy to make - using the 2 3/8" scallop circle punch and the fringe scissors to make the greens.  I held them together using glue dots.  I even put a glue dot behind the chocolate egg so they don't fall out.
This next project uses the Framelit Envelope Liner die.  Idea CASED from Christine Miller of www.mystamplady.com.  Find Chris on YouTube to watch how to make this project!

Using the fancy favor die again, I made a bunny basket.  Thought it came out pretty cute and easy to assemble too!
This last project was made using the Sweet Treat ups.   Fun and easy to make!
Hope you liked seeing my March Easter class projects.  Thanks so much for looking at my blog today!

March Class sneak peek - Easter Projects!

Happy March!  So many things have been consuming my free time lately, meaning that I have had no free time!  But, with that being said, here are the projects I came up with for my March class which is scheduled for Saturday, March 15 and Sunday, March 16.  I apologize that my sneak peeks are sooooo late, but I guess better late than never right?
In addition to my late start in actually figuring out the projects, for some reason, the projects for this month did not come easy, I have no idea why.  I wasted a couple of days making samples and not liking any of them.  I finally gave up and searched through Pinterest to get motivated.  There are two projects that were exact CASE projects but the rest of the projects were altered to my own liking.
If you are interested in attending this month's classes, please RSVP via email to me ASAP.  I usually don't see any comments from this blog, so email is the best, or if you have my number, a text is good too.  I will also be posting this announcement on Facebook and Instagram, so if you are on any of those social networks, RSVP there is good too.
The cost for this class is $25 and will include everything you will need to make these projects including some Easter candy to finish off the project.   You may bring your payment on class day.  Please bring your tool kit to the class - adhesive, scissors, paper trimmer and anything else you use to craft with.   Kits "to go" cost is $35 and will include shipping cost and the projects ready to put together.  If you are a demonstrator, your special cost for this class is $10 - if you are not a demonstrator, now is a good time to join!  During the Sale-a-bration promotion, a new demonstrator will get $150 in products for only $99.  This limited offer is good through March 31.  Contact me for more info!
I hope you will join me for this fun class!

NEW CLASS POLICY:  If you RSVP for a class and cannot make it for whatever the reason, as a courtesy to me, please make arrangements to make payment and pick up your class kit.  My commitment to you is to prepare and reserve the kit for you and it's kind of uncool to get stuck with a bunch of extra kits that people made commitments for as it is a loss for my business.  I hope you understand where I'm coming from.  I do appreciate everyone that comes to my classes as it helps support my business.

February Class - this weekend!! Last minute, but it will be fun!

Hello friends!!  Well, here we are at February 2014!  January was a blur and I just couldn't get my act together to plan a class for January.  I decided to offer my February class a little earlier this month since I was able to get some help for this weekend.  My partner in crime is going on a vacation and won't be here for our usual class which is usually held on the third Saturday and Sunday of the month, so we decided to give it a try and see if we can round up some people to come and join us for a fun weekend this week!
Last weekend, I was honored to be asked to be a presenter at the very first Spreading Aloha event.  It was nice to meet so many new people.  I haven't been at one of these events in like forever, so it was nice to finally go to one.  I learned a new project that day which I loved!  Love it so much that I thought we would make it this weekend.  It's called a card in a box and it folds flat to fit in a regular card envelope.  In addition to this card in a box, I thought we would make a couple of tags featuring the new tag topper punches and a couple of easy but cute gift card holders using the envelope punch board.  Here is the info for the class:
When: Saturday, February 8 at 10:00 a.m. and Sunday, February 9 at 10:00 a.m. at my home.
Cost $20.00.  If you are a demonstrator the cost is $10.00.   Please RSVP to me via email no later than Thursday, February 6.  I look forward to seeing you this weekend!  Here is a peek at the card in the box project we will be making.  Thanks to Norine for sharing this fun project with us at the event!!
I hope that you will join me this weekend to make these fun projects!!
